Sometimes you must believe in yourself and your dream. And in thousand-year-old prophecies. The Song of Teaching has been sung. The people of Lrakira and Teramar have discovered they are not who they thought they were and begin to embrace their shared identity. While all the others are awash in self-discovery and sharing, Renloret is faced with the monumental task of deciphering the clues to the hidden location of their shared home planet from millennial-old cave paintings and tapestries. If his calculations are off by even a smudge or a thread, the foretold Reunion will not happen and the people of two planets will never know their true origins or their possible future. Will he succeed? And will he overcome his doubts and fears about himself so he can become who he is destined to be?

About the Author
Allynn writes because, quite simply, she has to write, and she promised some very persistent characters she would write their stories. Telling stories began quite young with “westerns” based on imaginative play with her collection of plastic horses, most of which she still has. Nonfiction efforts span from animals and science to history and crafts, whatever intrigues her curiosity and desire for knowledge. She has a BA in English with secondary teacher certification. One of eight substitute teachers for a small rural school district where she used her varied background to substitute for all grade levels, K-12, and in subject areas from Art, English, Chemistry, Spanish, French, and even as the district librarian. That was her favorite assignment because she got to read all day long!
Her first sci-fi series, The Stone’s Blade, inspired by a short story written when she was in 8th grade, was completed in 2022. The characters wouldn’t leave her imagination or dreams until she wrote their stories and shared them with readers. She helped them discover their pasts and accept their true identities so they could join forces to save their worlds and unveil their possible futures. The series includes four books, The Blood, The Balance, The Blades, and The Seventh Stone, all available in print, eBook, and now audiobook formats. Other publishing credits include nonfiction articles on pronghorn, nutrition, recipes, and crafts in various publications including Falcon Magazine for Kids and an e-magazine Stories for Children. Articles on certain aspects of the folk dances of the United States have appeared in national and international periodicals such as American Square Dance (formerly Sets in Order), Square Dancing Today, the Lloyd Shaw Foundation’s American Dance Circle, and CALLERLAB’s Partner Resource. For almost forty years Allynn has written monthly newsletters for a regional square and round dance bulletin. Essays and commentaries such as Computers, Bread, and Tents, and Just Kill the Puppy! offer a different side of Riggs. By working closely with other professional editors, proofreaders, and designers, Riggs is passionate about producing high quality books, stories, and articles.
When not writing Riggs assists her husband and dance partner, Bob, in the teaching and participating in square dance events up to six evenings a week and they direct a historical dance performance team, The Colorado Dancers. She also participates in big game hunting with her extended family and camouflage/blaze orange attired friends and is frequently able to fill the freezer with high grade lean meat. The mother of three grown daughters, Riggs resides in Centennial, Colorado with her heart’s desire, Bob.
Her advice: Don’t let anyone tell you it’s too late to start writing. Begin, now. Honor your characters and their stories by doing it the very best you can. Believe in yourself and the stories, get help, work hard, and enjoy the ride!
Works in progress include two new fantasies: Spider Rider and The River King’s Daughter, and three children’s books: Melody and the Squeaky Brown Shoes, Pumpkin Party, and Candy’s Dragon.
