An interesting collection of short dark tales
In Sins, Tragedies, and Other Things That Make Us Human the listener is brought into the creative mind of Fernandez. I haven’t listened to anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t read the print book and wouldn’t mind doing so. There are five stories in this book, such as Black Out and Mari Kann, which is just a couple of what’s in this collection. The author brings in drama, dark humor, and the side of humanity that we don’t always see. This narration really brought each story to life. The title says it all, it shows the sins, tragedies and even power that can ruin a person, or put them on the wrong path. This author is a great storyteller. The sense of thrills and intrigue is clear and the characterizations in each story are engrossing. It’s a collection of stories to listen to and try to figure out what will happen next in each one. My favorite being Pawn Sacrifice, but I enjoyed each story. Explore the seven deadly sins in this book, and see what happens next. Sins, Tragedies, and Other Things That Make Us Human on audiobook is a definite listening recommendation by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to listening to many more titles by this author.
