Congratulations to our Founder and CEO Becky Parker Geist

We’re delighted to announce that our wonderful founder and CEO, Becky Parker Geist, has been awarded the 2026 SOVAS Best Audiobook Producer award for the full cast immersive audiobook of The Legend of Valentine that she co-produced and co-directed with author Sheldon Collins. The SOVAS awards are akin to the Academy Awards for the voiceover industry. 

The Legend of Valentine received eight SOVAS nominations across four categories and secured wins for Best Audiobook Producer and Best Audiobook Sound Design.

Last year, Becky was honored with the 2025 Distinguished Service Award by the Publishing Professionals Network as well as the Inc Magazine 2025 Female Founders Award.

The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1982, when PPN was still known as Bookbuilders West. This honor went to individuals who supported the ideals and goals of BBW while also maintaining the highest personal standards of craftmanship and devotion to their work. Nominations and selections were made by a group consisting of the current and former BBW presidents.

In 2021, PPN revised the criteria and selection processes to more fully recognize the contributions of those across the industry who work toward promoting excellence through education, career development, and community building.

Candidates for the Distinguished Service Award are individuals who demonstrate some combination of the following:

• exemplification of the PPN mission to provide support, educational resources, and opportunities to all individuals involved in or interested in joining book-related publishing
• devotion to, and support of, the highest possible standards for developing and crafting books and book-related publications
• recognition for something extra that they have brought to the publishing community, whether it be unusual talent, brilliance, innovation, integrity, devotion, or helpfulness to others

Becky’s contributions to the industry as the founder and CEO of Pro Audio Voices and AMPlify Audiobooks™, as well as serving as President of Bay Area Independent Publishers Association have been deeply appreciated by those she encounters.  Becky works with indie authors and small publishers who are passionate about getting their content out to the world. She and her team guide clients through the complexities of audiobook and podcast production.  Becky’s support especially for inexperienced authors, or those who are venturing into expanding their work into audio, makes her a vital member of the publishing community. 

“It’s an honor to work with so many talented authors, publishers, narrators, audio engineers, project managers, and so many others,” Becky comments.

Becky accepted the Distinguished Service award at the 2025 PPN Conference in April 2025 and the 2026 SOVAS award at the SOVAS Gala event in January 2026.
